Overview

It is possible that the price or discount of an item needs to be adjusted at point of sale. The price of products can be adjusted or discounted from within the cart. For example, you are selling your new sweatshirts to staff at cost. Depending on the size of your staff, it might be easier to just manually adjust the unit price from within the cart vs setting up a promotional code.

To edit a contract in the cart, see Edit Draft Contract within the Cart. Staff would need Permission: Plans and Contracts: Permission Create, Edit, and Delete Contracts

Steps

1. Open the Front Desk Module.
2. Input the customer and the product.
3. Press the pencil icon.
4. Within the Edit Item pop up, select the Pricing Method dropdown (see image below).

Options

• Automatic Pricing: This is the price set within the Products module for the item
• Disallow Promotion: Removes any promotions that are applied to the item
• Percentage Discount: Discounts the item X percent or the Automatic Price, where X is the is the percentage you input
• Fixed Discount Price: Discounts the item a fixed dollar amount
• Manual Unit Price: Overrides the Automatic Price and charges the amount input
