Dispatches: Single-Send (Newsletter-Style) Emails in Redpoint
Dispatches allow you to send large, single-send email campaigns directly from Redpoint to a defined segment of customers. This feature is designed for newsletter-style outreach such as announcements, promotions, updates, or reminders, without relying on third-party newsletter tools.
Dispatches use your active email provider and include built-in analytics powered by SendGrid, helping you track engagement while reducing per-send and list-size-based newsletter fees.
You can find Dispatches in Build (Menu) > Dispatches.
What Are Dispatches?
Dispatches are one-time email sends to a selected segment of customers. Unlike automated journeys, Dispatches are designed for broad outreach that goes out once, either immediately or at a scheduled time.
With Dispatches, you can:
Send large campaigns directly from Redpoint
Target specific customer segments
Control email send rates to improve deliverability
Schedule campaigns in advance
Track opens, clicks, and engagement metrics
Build a Dispatch from Scratch
Step 1: Navigate to Dispatches
Go to Build (Menu) > Dispatches, then click New Campaign.
Step 2: Define Your Audience
In Segment Builder, define the customer segment in you want to send the dispatch to.
Step 3: Compose Your Email
In the Content editor, you can utilize Redpoint's built in Standard or Enhanced Designers.
Step 4: Configure Send Timing
Choose how and when your dispatch will be sent:
Send immediately, or
Schedule for a future date and time
Scheduling allows teams to plan campaigns ahead of time and align sends with promotions, events, or operational milestones.
Step 5: Adjust Send Rate (Optional)
You can configure a send rate ramp to control how quickly emails are delivered over a number of days.
Instead of sending all emails at once, Redpoint can gradually increase the send volume over time. This helps:
Improve deliverability
Reduce throttling by email providers
Maintain sender reputation for large lists
Step 6: Review and Send
Review your audience size, content, and settings, then confirm the dispatch. A 'Snapshot' of the Customer Segment will be used once you send the campaign.
Once sent, the dispatch will move into a sent or scheduled state and analytics will begin populating after delivery.
Dispatch Analytics (Powered by SendGrid)
Each dispatch includes built-in analytics so you can clearly measure performance without exporting data to another platform.
Analytics are automatically tied to the dispatch and do not require additional configuration.

By sending large, single-send emails directly from Redpoint:
