Connecting Sendgrid to Redpoint
Connect your domain to sendgrid so that any email address from your domain will work.
Settings > Sender Authentication > Domain Authentication > complete authentication for your domain.
At a minimum, for the integration to work, the Send From email set in your Redpoint General Facility settings (Manage > Org & Facility Settings > Facility:[gym name] > General) MUST be a Sender email in Sendgrid. You can add it and view senders in your Sendgrid account (Marketing Menu > Senders > add sender)
- Go to your Sendgrid Account.
- Create API key in sendgrid (Settings > API Key > Create API Key)
- Set to Full Access
- Take your API key and add it to Redpoint
- In Redpoint: Go to Manage > Organization & Facility Settings > Integrations > Sendgrid
- This will give you a webhook that you then need to go put into sendgrid
-
When saving the webhook, Redpoint will prompt to send a test email.
If the email send fails, keep going and then come back to test email. Test email send generally fails if the send from is not a sender in Sendgrid OR the email it's sending to is not whitelisted (while in sandbox mode)
You can trigger a test re-send by clicking Edit on the webhook, click ok to resave and trigger the prompt to send test email.
-
In Sendgrid go to Mail Settings > Event Webhook > Add New Event Webhook > Paste the url from Redpoint in the Post URL field This will allow you to track clicks etc..
- Check ALL the checkboxes in the Actions to be posted section.
- Signature Verification: Toggle OFF
- OAuth Verification: OFF
- Click Test Integration and click OK to save
-
Here’s how it should look in SendGrid when done
Status should show ENABLED and Signed Event should show as DISABLED
-
Confirm the webhook in Redpoint
- Go to View > System > Webhook Log
- Find a SendGrid entry on list
- No entry? Then the test email failed to send. Go back to step 4 above and click Edit on the webhook entry, then click OK to resave and trigger a resend.
See step 5 above for additional info if test email is still failing.
9. In Redpoint, set SendGrid as the Marketing Email Service Provider
